Dominic de Guzman was the founder of the Dominican Order of Preachers in the 13th century and is the Master of Faith and Trust.
Born into nobility in Spain, he gained a university education then, rejecting wealth, he travelled widely in southern Europe, preaching to and converting heretics.
He was devoted to Mother Mary, urging the use of her rosary and performing many healing miracles through her.
Dominic was also embodied as Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Leonardo da Vinci, General Lafayette, and as an Australian pilot who died a hero in WWII.
